About Kollel Yaamod
Our Mission
Kollel Yaamod is a gemorah kollel located in the holy city of Yerushalayim. A strong emphasis is put on making sure to know the gemorahs really well, for example, reviewing many times, writing over summaries, and trying to memorize the gemorah by heart. There is also a daily sheet with selected maareh mekomos for those who would like to learn the gemorahs more in depth. Additionally, guys are encouraged to give over gemorah and mussar chaburas, and to take weekly tests on the gemorah. There is also a weekly shiur given by the Rosh Kollel, Rabbi Shauli Karsh, on hilchos Lashon Harah using the classic Sefer Chofetz Chaim. In addition to the learning done in the kollel, there are also periodic shalashudes, nights of hisorerus (including trips to kever rochel, the kotel, etc), and other gettogethers to increase the achdus amongst the guys, and to give everyone the chizzuk they need to continue growing in their Avodas Hashem.
